On a typical wedding day my day starts a the Grooms place where we document his preparations. Why the grom not the bride? Well its an unpopular opinion that women are slower to get ready than men. In an hour or less we are all done.
We then head over to the Bridal prep and many times this is where we get saved breakfast, not part of the contract by the way but it is usually because we get there and the bridal party is still at the hair Salon or hasn't bathed yet or something else entirely but we have to sit and wait..... hence we get served food .. win-win if you ask me kkkkkk. Important to state that on this particular Bridal prep the Bride was on time ready and doing her hair it was the Maid of honour that came late..... fascinating.
This sequence makes sense because if the bride aint ready the wedding will wait till she is, so we only get to leave for the ceremony venue when they too are leaving. We drive like Michael Schumacher so we get to the Reception in time to capture the patiently waiting groom and guests and the final arrival of the beautiful bride. It's an Honor that we get to see the Beautiful Bride before everyone else.
Entrance and Exit always fascinate me. Oh, and it's sooooo easy to miss you may Kiss the bride sometimes they kiss like it's the first time like half a split second they done and you are like huh that's it I didn't even get a good angle. Happens a lot depending on how formal you can bride the guests to demand a retake ( works everytime). By this time we're tired and that free breakfast we scored is now gone.
We Like to have a bridal party photo session between the Ceremony and Reception for the mere reason that whilst the guests are stretching their legs, enjoying the Canapes and getting their allocated seats we are in the meantime snapping some lovely Pics. The photo session is my favourite for 1 reason control, this is the only part where you get to have a lil bit of control over whats happening the rest is just a mere reaction.
Reception.....fooooood .....huuuuungry.....Tired......Home. Sums up how we be feeling at this point in time.
And it's done now comes the boring part.....Packing up. some wedding are small so its just packing up the cameras and flashes and batteries and Laptops ......... But some are quite big so you bring extra gear = more work. But hey we love Romantic scenes and nothing beats a wedding on the Rmance scale ( maybe a proposal but still).
